Position Description

The Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences and OU Health is seeking a full-time faculty Vascular Surgeon. Pay is commensurate to the rank and experience. The position offers competitive salary and benefits. The candidate will need to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills, be committed to ongoing performance, improvement, and possess outstanding abilities and skills in teaching and clinical medicine. Dedication to enhancing a diverse workforce and academic environment is vital. The position offers an opportunity to participate in expanding a unique regional vascular surgery program at one of the most progressive care centers in the state and region. Clinic responsibilities will include patient care at OU Health. Teaching responsibilities will include medical students and resident education at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences College of Medicine. Minimum qualifications include an MD/DO or equivalent degree and board eligible/certified.

Clinical Responsibilities

The clinical role includes a blend of patient care at OU Health, including:

  • Inpatient and outpatient care
  • Specialty consults
Educational Responsibilities

This position includes protected time for educational activities, including curriculum development, learner mentorship, and faculty development. The successful candidate will contribute to the training of medical students and residents, with opportunities for academic promotion.
