PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The position will provide behavioral health evaluations, acute therapy, and support services for students in Jefferson's Student Counseling Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides comprehensive assessment, interventions, individual therapy, group therapy, and other psychosocial treatment modalities.
2. Develops effective treatment plans and assists patients in achieving their goals.
3. Develops and participates in outreach, wellness, and psychoeducational programming for the campus community.
4. Initiates quality improvement and research projects aimed at enhancing student well-being.
5. Manages crisis situations using an individual and team approach.
6. Interacts professionally with co-workers, visitors, and staff, aligning with Jefferson's iSCORE values.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Doctorate in Psychology or Counselor Education (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)

At least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting is required; three or more years of outpatient clinical experience preferred. Experience in college counseling is advantageous.
