Job description

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler Business School) is seeking to fill one or more tenure‑track positions in the Strategy & Entrepreneurship academic area. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027.

Position Summary

Successful candidates will be productive researchers and creative, effective teachers who contribute to the School’s Undergraduate, MBA, PhD, and Executive Development programs. Candidates are expected to conduct research and teach in areas of Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship, or a closely related field, granted or nearly completed.
• Initial appointment of Assistant Professor for candidates with a completed PhD; Initial appointment of Instructor for candidates with a PhD that is nearly completed.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

• Strong research skills with a record of publishing in top‑tier academic journals.
• Demonstrated commitment to high‑quality teaching and curriculum development in Strategy or Entrepreneurship.
• Evidence of interdisciplinary collaboration or engagement with industry partners is highly desirable.
