Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Special Education or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in graduate-level teaching through in-person and online modalities.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Strong commitment to social justice, anti-racism, and anti-oppression, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Ongoing record of scholarship.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a teaching load of 18 credits per 9-month academic year.
• Teach graduate-level and undergraduate courses delivered on campus and online across multiple modalities within the Special Education curriculum.
• Engage in program assessment, accreditation activities, and ongoing program development and improvement initiatives.
• Advise students and engage in service to the department and university.
• Pursue external funding opportunities to support research and program innovation.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff across departments and schools to advance interdisciplinary and sponsored program initiatives.
