Job summary

Auburn University Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Public Administration/Nonprofit Management. The appointment begins August 16, 2027, with an optional start of January 1, 2027.

The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration and nonprofit management, in both in-person and online formats, and contribute to the MPA program, certificates, NASPAA accreditation, and Ph.D. program.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ph.D. in public administration, nonprofit management, public policy, or a related field completed by start date.
• Strong potential for research productivity in peer-reviewed journals and active research agenda.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in public administration and nonprofit management at undergraduate and graduate levels, in-person and online.
• Contribute to the MPA graduate certificates and the NASPAA-accredited programs.
• Maintain an active program of research and engage in service to the department and community.
