Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Philosophy by time of appointment (ABD with anticipated completion acceptable).
• Demonstrated teaching experience at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Research and teaching specialization: Ethics and Philosophy of Emerging Technologies.
• Teaching competence in Philosophy/Ethics of Digital Technologies and Philosophy/Ethics of AI.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
• Active research program and ongoing scholarly activity.
• Evidence of professional or institutional service.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate philosophy courses including core offerings.
• Develop an active, publishable research program in ethics and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to department and college initiatives and leadership (e.g., Philosophy Dialogues).
• Course assignments may include evening or online sections; some teaching may be online.
