The Department of Dermatology at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a part-time, tenure-ineligible Assistant or Associate Professor of Dermatology to primarily work in our outpatient clinics. A commitment to teaching, clinical excellence, and academic scholarship is essential. Duties include teaching residents and medical students, direct patient care, and participation in scholarly activities.
The University of Virginia Department of Dermatology, founded in 1924, is the oldest dermatology department in the South. Its mission is to improve human health by providing excellent and compassionate care, advancing dermatology, seeking scientific knowledge, and fostering professional development in healthcare.

Qualified candidates must have an MD and be ABMS board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology. Candidates dually certified or eligible in dermatopathology are encouraged to apply. Potential dermatopathology duties are available once a week. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Virginia. Rank depends on qualifications, experience, scholarly achievement, clinical service, and research.
