Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in oceanography, marine geology, geochemistry, climate science or a related field at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a vigorous externally funded research program.
• Provide intellectual leadership in paleoclimate/paleoceanography/geochemistry.
• Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in Geochemistry, Marine Chemistry, and/or Geoscience at UC San Diego.
• Supervise and mentor graduate students and contribute to service within the department, university, and broader discipline.
