At the time of appointment, applicants are required to have earned a doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in Physical Oceanography, Atmospheric Science or a related discipline. Preferred candidates will have a competitive record of publication and service, and evidence of ability or strong potential to secure extramural funding and to conduct an active research program while contributing to impactful undergraduate and graduate teaching. Candidates are encouraged to highlight how they anticipate integrating UC San Diego's Principles of Community in their research, teaching, and service.
