Job summary

California State University, East Bay seeks an Assistant Professor of Social Work to teach and provide curricular leadership in the MSW generalist and advanced generalist practice sequence, with particular attention to culturally responsive, community-engaged, and justice-oriented social work practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• At least two years of full-time post-master's social work practice experience.
• PhD in social work, DSW, or related doctorate completed by appointment start date.
• Demonstrated ability to teach MSW generalist/advanced generalist practice.

Responsibilities

• Teach MSW generalist and advanced generalist practice courses with focus on culturally responsive, community-engaged, justice-oriented practice.
• May teach across MSW and BSW curricula (practice, policy, HBSE, research, practicum, capstone).
• Engage in teaching, advising, and research; contribute to service at multiple levels.
• Prepare to teach in-person, hybrid, and/or fully online courses.
