Job Description Summary
This position is a full-time, one-year, non-tenure track eligible teaching appointment with the possibility of renewal. The Assistant Professor of Advanced Legal Research will be expected to teach legal writing and research courses, as well as other courses as may be assigned according to the needs of the College. Normal teaching load is two-three course preparations per semester, and may include teaching multiple sections for one of the preparations. Teaching assignments will primarily involve courses in legal writing and research, advanced legal research, appellate advocacy, including subject matter and skill-based courses on the use of Westlaw and Lexis Nexus, and other digital libraries utilized in legal research. This position will also liaison with university library representatives regarding the required available library resources necessary to support the law school curriculum and student learning.

Minimum Qualifications
Juris Doctorate California Bar License in good standing Graduated from an state or ABA accredited law school
Preferred Qualifications
Prior law school teaching Motion/brief/research/appellate practice experience Experience using Westlaw and Lexis Nexus and California practice materials.
