The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary is $6,221 to $13,224 per month (12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring range is $7,330 to $8,000 per month. Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The department comprises 36 tenured/tenure‑track faculty across four collaborative disciplinary groups (theoretical math, applied math, statistics, math education). Faculty collaborate on innovative curriculum development, education research, advising, and the preparation of mathematics teachers. Current projects include partnerships with local school districts, community data‑science initiatives, and the CSU Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative.

Pursuant to the CSU Out of State Employment Policy, hiring employees to perform CSU‑related work outside of California is prohibited effective January 1, 2022.
