Xavier University’s College of Nursing seeks a committed, experienced faculty member for a full‑time, non‑tenure-track role beginning Spring 2027. Teaching across BSN, MIDAS, and online MSN programs, with opportunities in FNP, PMHNO, AGPCNP, and DNP tracks.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio or be eligible to be licensed in Ohio.
• MSN degree required; doctoral degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience as an RN in a specialty area.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in an accredited program in a content-specialty area.
• Teaching experience in adult and graduate programs and online instruction is desired.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, methods of teaching, and evaluation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Teach in BSN, MIDAS, and online MSN programs (FNP, PMHNO, AGPCNP, DNP) as needed.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course content, and assessment design.
• Coordinate with clinical agencies and co-workers to support experiences.
• Engage in nursing scholarly work and professional development.
• Advise students and participate in faculty activities and committees.
• Deliver instruction in classroom, online, and/or lab/simulation; on-campus presence required for in-person programs.

Assistant Professor of Instruction, College of NursingThe College of Nursing (CN) at Xavier University is seeking experienced, innovative, and highly motivated candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty to teach in our high-quality undergraduate and graduate nursing programs beginning Spring 2027. The CN programs include BSN, second-degree accelerated MSN (MIDAS), and online MSN, FNP, PMHNO, AGPCNP, and DNP programs. The successful candidates are expected to teach in one or more of our nursing programs depending on program needs. Desired teaching specialty areas include but are not limited to: obstetric nursing, pre-licensure second-degree accelerated MSN clinical nurse leader track (CNL), MSN core, and fundamentals. Candidates with expertise in more than one specialty area are highly desirable. Candidates will teach in our in-person MSN Direct Entry as Seond Degree (MIDAS) program, and may teach in the BSN and/or MSN programs depending on the college's needs. Successful candidates are expected to provide teaching instructions in a classroom, online, and/or lab/simulation. The undergraduate and accelerated programs are traditional on-campus programs that expect the physical presence of faculty. The online graduate programs expect some physical on-campus presence.
