About this opportunity: The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management in the Miller College of Business at Ball State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2027. Candidates with an interest and ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate business analytics and information systems courses and conduct quality research in the same fields are encouraged to apply. Employer will consider sponsorship.

What you'll do and what you will bring: Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities:

• Teaching nine semester hours each fall and spring semester in subjects such as but not limited to: business analytics, Information Systems, Networking, Database, cyber security, AI in business
• Assignment may include undergraduate and graduate courses, which may be delivered on-line, synchronously or asynchronously
• Additional activities will include scholarly activity and service

Minimum Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Business Analytics and Information Systems or closely related fields from an accredited institution
• Candidates with ABD will be considered and must demonstrate satisfactory progress toward completion of the doctoral degree consistent with university policy
• Evidence of, or demonstrated potential for high-quality scholarly research and effective university-level teaching

Preferred Qualifications

• Record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed quality journals; experience in creative teaching methods such as experiential-learning, service-learning, immersive-learning, or other instructional innovations; and on-line teaching; evidence of active involvement in external grant writing; business experience in the field of Information Systems or related areas; ability to teach and conduct research in Business Analytics and Information Systems
