Job summary

The successful candidate will handle ENGL 1000, 1010, and 1020 sections and guide first-year students through foundational writing skills. Applicants should hold a Ph.D.

in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, with prior college-level teaching experience.

• Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric and Composition or MFA in Creative Writing.
• College teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4-4 load of ENGL 1000, 1010 and/or 1020 in-person.
• Advise students.

Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the terminal degree is required by August 1, 2027.

• Advise students.
• Participation in service activities for the Department, the University, your discipline, and the community is also expected.
