Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering starting Fall 2027. The department expects teaching four courses in the fall and four in the spring, with research, service, and student mentorship integrated into duties.

Qualifications

PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field; ABD candidates may be considered with expected completion by start date.
Teaching experience at college/university level in EE or related discipline with evidence of effectiveness.
Experience developing laboratories in RF, communications, electromagnetics, or related areas.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in electrical engineering.
Prepare course outlines based on departmental syllabi.
Mentor students and advise on coursework and senior design projects.
Conduct scholarly research and publications; participate in service to department and university.
Support ABET accreditation efforts and curriculum outcomes.
