Job summary

Otterbein University seeks a tenure-track faculty member for the Department of Business, Accounting & Economics to contribute to a growing bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD/DBA in a business discipline (Management) and demonstrate a strong teaching record, leadership, and commitment to diversity.

Qualifications

• PhD or DBA in business with specialization in Management from an AACSB-accredited university.
• ABD candidates within one year of completing their doctoral degree considered.
• Effective teaching at the baccalaureate level and demonstrated record of scholarship is required.
• Superior communication, leadership and organization skills; ability to work with diverse students, faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Excel in teaching, scholarship, research and service related to Otterbein’s Business Administration and Management program.
• Teach courses such as Principles of Management (Writing Intensive), Personnel/Human Resource Management, Leadership and Culture, Training and Development, and Business and Society.
• Publish in peer‑reviewed journals and present research at peer‑reviewed conferences.
• Engage in professional and community activities, advising, mentorship and service.
