Job Description:

The Department of Physical and Life Sciences seeks a dedicated and innovative Assistant Professor of Biology to join our faculty. The successful candidate will teach biology courses, including cellular and molecular biology, biotechniques, and other subjects aligned with their field of expertise, at the associate and baccalaureate levels. Teaching responsibilities may also involve guiding students in professional internships and research projects.

Additional duties include student advisement, participation in student recruitment efforts, curriculum and course development, and contributing to college and departmental service initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, student engagement, and collaborative departmental growth.

This position provides an opportunity to inspire and mentor future professionals in the biological sciences while contributing to the continued success of the department.

This position will have an August 2025 start date.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in biology or related field required.
  • Documented teaching experience in both lecture and laboratory settings required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A diverse background, including practical experience in biology and laboratory techniques
  • Evidence of teaching excellence and a commitment to active-learning and student engagement


Additional Information:

The starting salary for this position is $55,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Employees are also offered EXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS!
