Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related area from an accredited university by the date of appointment.
• Ability to communicate complex subject matter to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Commitment to teaching excellence in engineering.
• Evidence of ongoing scholarly research including peer-reviewed articles and grant proposals.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate Mechanical Engineering courses.
• Advise undergraduate student projects.
• Advise MS projects and theses for master level students.
• Maintain a scholarly research program relevant to expertise.
• Participate in department, college, and university committees and activities.
• Pursue professional development, workshops, and publish work.
