Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering by the date of appointment.
• Ability to communicate complex subject matter to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in engineering.
• Evidence of ongoing scholarly research including peer-reviewed articles and grant proposals.
• Commitment to diversity and excellence through teaching, scholarship and service in an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Mechanical Engineering.
• Advise undergraduate student projects.
• Advise MS students with MS projects and theses.
• Maintain scholarly work and a research program in the applicant's area of expertise.
• Participate in department, college and university committees and activities.
• Engage in professional development such as workshops and training courses, and publish conference and journal papers.
