The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2027. Applicants from all areas of mechanical engineering are encouraged to apply, including but not limited to solid mechanics, control and robotics systems, artificial intelligence, and thermal‑fluids. Preference will be given to candidates with a specialization in machine design. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop new courses, and establish a strong externally funded research program in their area(s) of expertise.
