Northern Kentucky University’s School of Allied Health is seekingapplications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member to jointhe online accelerated Master of Science in Health AdministrationProgram. The School of Allied Health, housed within the CollegeofHealth and Human Services, is a multidisciplinary unit offeringboth graduate and undergraduate clinical and non-clinical degreeprograms. The successful candidate will bring their healthcaremanagement knowledge and experience into the online classroom, toenrich the student experience and facilitate meaningful learningopportunities. This position is a 9-month appointment reporting tothe Director of the School of Allied Health. Additional summerteaching opportunities may be available.
Earned doctoral degree in health administration/management, healthpolicy, public health or related discipline. Through education andexperience is able to teach the courses identified in the positionresponsibilities. Evidence of at least 2 years effective teachingin accelerated and online courses. Evidence of individual,collaborative and/or multi-disciplinary research and scholarshipthat contributes to the advancement their profession. At least 3years of experience as a leader/administrator in the healthcareindustry.
Demonstrated experience in online course review, online coursedevelopment, leading internship field projects and capstonecourses. Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives(ACHE) Involvement with the Association of University Programs inHealth Administration (AUPHA) At least 5 years’ experience as anadministrator/executive leader in a healthcare organizationResearch and scholarship focus in the field of healthcareadministration or area of study specific to those in the NKU MSHAcurriculum. Documented graduate level education and/or professionalexperience in the fields of health policy and health caremanagement.
