Summary of Job Duties

Responsibilities include developing and teaching undergraduate courses in General Business and Management (Foundations of Business, Organizational Behavior, Business Analytics, Social Responsibility and Ethics, Project Management, Leadership, Operations Management, Entrepreneurship, and/or Supply Chain). The role also involves sustained interaction with business and industry; assessment and evaluation of instruction; career advisement, recruitment and retention activities; and participation in college and university committees. The position reports to the department head of Business in the College of Business and Industry.

Qualifications
  • Required Education and/or Work Experience: Ph.D. in Management or a related field from an accredited institution (ABD with completion date no later than August 2026 considered).
  • Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Previous teaching experience across multiple delivery modes, including full online; extensive knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the profession.

  • Scholarly activity sufficient to maintain faculty appointment, including a consistent record of publishing in high‑quality and impactful journals

  • Activities in support of the recruitment and retention of students
  • Attendance and participation in all faculty and administrative meetings, Student Research Symposium, commencement ceremonies, and other meetings/events as required

Special Job Dimensions

Work performed primarily in an office/classroom setting. Occasional travel and extended hours required. Requires digital dexterity when entering data into a computer. Required abilities include walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods. Visual demands involve close, detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Requires speaking and hearing. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 10 pounds.

Salary

$100,000 – $110,000 per 9 months, commensurate with education and experience.
