Job applications for current students will not be considered if submitted through the external career center.Position DetailsThe Department of Information and Technology Management (ITM) at The University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business invites applicants for tenure track assistant professor to start in fall 2025.
The ITM department offers degree programs at undergraduate and graduate levels in Management Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Financial Enterprise Systems, and Cybersecurity in addition to an online MS program in Business Analytics and MS program in Information and Technology Management. The Sykes College of Business is accredited by AACSB and the MIS program in the ITM department is accredited by ABET.
The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of more than 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities include teaching three four-credit hour courses at graduate and undergraduate levels during each semester in business statistics and analytics, business modeling, and introduction to information systems. The faculty is also expected to be involved in publishing articles in high quality peer reviewed journals and engage in service and student involvement opportunities at the department, college, and university levels.
Required qualifications:
- Holds a Ph.D. or ABD from an AACSB accredited school in the field of Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or related fields.
- Teaching specialization required: programming and information systems.
