COLLEGE OF PHARMACY AND HEALTH SCIENCES Tenure TrackNursingDepartment Assistant Professor, Industry Professional,Nursing Division/Department Information: The College is seeking full-time, tenure-track faculty membersqualified to teach clinical and didactic courses for a traditional4-year baccalaureate nursing program with expertise in any of thefollowing areas - mental health, critical care, medical/surgical,community health, maternal health and nursing fundamentals. Foreach of the nursing practice areas above, the faculty member isexpected to engage in teaching, scholarship and service. Facultyare expected to use diverse and evidence based teaching strategiessuch as lectures, case based learning, active learning strategies,competency education and simulations to support learning as itrelates to general nursing concepts and skills and practice areaconcepts and skills as appropriate. Faculty contribute to thedevelopment and continuation of a quality nursing program byengaging in activities such as curriculum development and revision,student and program assessment, student advising, studentrecruitment activities. Faculty are also expected to serve oncommittees, participate in professional organizations and producescholarly work such as publications, presentations andresearch.
