Position Summary: Gannon University's Morosky College of Health Professions andSciences Physician Assistant Program at the Ruskin, Florida campusis seeking applications for a faculty position. The appointment forthis 12-month, tenure track or teaching track appointment beginsJuly 2026. The facultywork collaboratively with colleagues, deliver instruction, advisestudents, engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the BoyerModel of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application andreceipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon, and engage inUniversity, professional, and community service activities.Specific responsibilities include working with didactic andclinical year students enrolled in the PA program according toestablished ARC-PA standards. This position is responsible foradvising students, lecturing within the program, preparing studentexaminations, providing research guidance to graduate-levelstudents, and providing service to the University, community, andPA profession.

The Ruskin, FL location is found along the Gulf Coast of Florida inthe beautiful Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg/Bradenton area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Teach 24 credit hours in the academic year or as otherwisespecified by the faculty member's appointment notice; studentcourse evaluations are to be completed in each course. Faculty areexpected to employ sound pedagogical practices and to usetechnology as appropriate, including the University's learningmanagement system. Faculty shall assist with course revisions andcurriculum development as needed.
2. Achieve appropriate student-learning outcomes in all coursestaught.
3. Engage in scholarly pursuits pertinent to their academicdiscipline. Scholarship, as defined by the Boyer model, includesThe Scholarship of Discovery, The Scholarship of Integration, TheScholarship of Application, The Scholarship of Teaching, and TheScholarship of Engagement.
4. Participate in service to the University, the community and totheir profession. Attend commencement exercises and communitymeetings.
5. Participate in ongoing professional development.
6. Assist, advise, and mentor students enrolled in theUniversity.
7. Fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of a facultymember as described in Volume IV of the Gannon UniversityInstitutional Policy Manual, which contains the approved policiesand procedures of the University concerning the terms andconditions of faculty employment at the University.

Required Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Master's degree required.Appropriate full-time clinical experience required.

Rank: In accordance with the University'sstandards, the Provost and Vice President for Student Experienceawards initial rank at the time of employment.

Licenses and Certifications: Current NCCPAcertification required for PAs; candidates must have or be eligiblefor PA, MD, or DO licensure in Florida
