The Department of History at Fairfield University seeksapplications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the historyof China, period open, to begin fall 2027, pending final budgetapproval. Teaching responsibilities are three classes per semester(two preps). The successful candidate will be responsible forteaching courses at all levels of our undergraduate curriculumincluding introductory courses, intermediate survey courses, andadvanced seminars in one's specialty.
Candidates should have a demonstrated record of excellence inteaching, scholarly research, and service at the university level.We seek candidates who will contribute to the University's corecurriculum priorities of writing across the curriculum, socialjustice, and interdisciplinarity. The successful candidate shouldexpect to participate in Asian Studies and may contribute to otherinterdisciplinary programs in the Meditz College of Arts andSciences.
