Position Overview

St. John's University, established in 1870 with multiple campuses including locations in Rome, Italy; Limerick, Ireland; and Paris, France, is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing. The role involves teaching undergraduate nursing courses, primarily Fundamentals of Nursing, and participating in curriculum development, student mentorship, and scholarly activities.

Responsibilities
  • Teach didactic and clinical courses in nursing, including Fundamentals, health assessment, nursing research, and pathophysiology.
  • Utilize various instructional strategies, including online, hybrid, and simulation-based teaching.
  • Participate in program recruitment, advisement, and curriculum review.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide mentorship.
  • Engage in scholarship, professional development, and service activities.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing; Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in New York or eligibility.
  • Clinical experience and teaching experience in baccalaureate nursing preferred.
