Job summary

The Department of Internal Medicine: Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Kansas Medical Center seeks an Assistant Professor to establish an externally funded research program focusing on diabetes, obesity, islet biology, and/or islet transplantation. The candidate will engage in interdisciplinary collaborations and train graduate and post-doctoral researchers.

Required qualifications include a PhD or MD degree; postdoctoral experience in diabetes

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an externally funded research program in diabetes, obesity, islet biology, or islet transplantation.
• Collaborate with faculty across departments and centers to promote interdisciplinary research and translational applications.
• Participate in training and education of graduate/doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows.
• Publish in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Serve on university committees supporting research and teaching.
