Davidson College's Department of English invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Creative Nonfiction and the Literature of the Sciences, beginning July 1, 2027. A MFA or PhD in Creative Writing is expected by appointment, with a strong record of publication in CNF.

Undergraduate teaching experience is preferred and candidates should be committed to undergraduate teaching and to a sustained creative practice.

Qualifications

• An M.F.A. or Ph. D. in Creative Writing is expected by appointment date.
• Strong record of publication in creative nonfiction.

Responsibilities

• Teach five courses per year: two sections of Introductory Creative Nonfiction, one section of Advanced Creative Nonfiction, and two courses in the Literature of the Sciences.
