College of the Redwoods is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Business/Accounting at the Eureka campus. The role involves teaching a range of courses to support Associate’s degrees and contributing to curriculum development and shared governance. Ideal candidates will hold a Master’s degree in relevant fields and possess prior teaching experience. Additional responsibilities include participation in community engagements and assessments in the Business program.

Summary
This position is for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor in Business/Accounting based out of the Eureka campus that is responsible for teaching a variety of accounting and finance courses to support a variety of Associate’s degrees and certificates offered in the Business program. Teaching assignments will consist of in-person classes, including night and possibly weekend assignments, as well as teaching on-line or in other distance modalities. The Assistant Professor – Business/Accounting will teach courses as assigned including, primarily, Financial and Managerial Accounting, Bookkeeping, Personal Finance. Occasional assignments in General Business and Small Business Management may be required.
Anticipated start date for this position is Spring 2026.

Minimum qualifications:
Master’s in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration
OR
Bachelor’s in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis
AND
Master’s in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, finance or the equivalent
( NOTE : A bachelor’s degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration, with a CPA license is an alternative qualification for this discipline.)

Salary Grade
Salary Grade Based on education and experience
Salary $69,660.00- $99,963.00/Annually (Salary range, based on education, continues to a maximum of $156,613.00/Annually)
Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful clearance of a criminal background check, freedom from tuberculosis, and proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States prior to the first day of work. The District may select additional qualified candidates should unexpected vacancies or needs occur during the recruitment/selection process. When education is a requirement for the position, official academic transcripts from the accredited college/university will be required.
College of the Redwoods Faculty Organization is the exclusive bargaining representative for College of the Redwoods faculty employees. Each employee hired into a faculty position shall contribute to the administration of this contract by membership dues or service fees.
Initial salary placement is determined by education and teaching/professional experience. Refer to the CRFO Collective Bargaining Agreement for specific details on salary placement.
Medical, dental and vision insurance is provided by the District for all
full-time employees and their dependents. Faculty also receive sick leave and personal holidays. Retirement benefits are administered through CalSTRS.
