Job summary

Eastern Connecticut State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business Information Systems. Willimantic, CT-based, the Department seeks candidates with a strong commitment to teaching excellence, scholarship, and student advisement.

Qualifications

• PhD in Information Systems, MIS, BIS or related field by appointment.
• Evidence of, or potential for, effective undergraduate teaching in information systems.
• Evidence of, or potential for, an active program of scholarship.
• Ability to teach and mentor students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate BIS courses across core areas such as database management, systems analysis and design, and IT project management.
• Develop new courses, certificates, and workforce-aligned programming in BIS.
• Advise students, support experiential learning, internships, and student projects; engage in scholarly or professional activity.
