DescriptionClemson University's Bioengineering Department is seeking applicants for a
tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the areas of Biomedical Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Biomedical and Health Informatics, or Multivariate Analysis. This would include areas such as machine learning, deep learning, explainable AI, generative AI, large language models, signal processing, computer vision, bioinformatics, or related fields. The position will be located on Clemson's main campus, Clemson, South Carolina with a start date of August 15, 2024.
QualificationsPhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering and science discipline, such as applied math, applied physics, and data science. Demonstrated excellence in research and innovation, and a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Post-doctoral research experience is desired as well as research or training in areas such as machine learning and/or deep learning in a biomedical context, signal processing and analysis for biomedical data, bioinformatics, computer vision, or other related areas.
