Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor

The Department of Radiology and Imaging at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) at Augusta University, Georgia’s premier Health Sciences University, is recruiting a full-time Abdominal Radiologist.

This is a great opportunity to join a department in the midst of expansion, including growing our Georgia Cancer Center and breaking ground on our 2^nd hospital site in Columbia County. Board Certification or Eligibility is required; fellowship training in Abdominal/Body Radiology is preferred.

The successful candidate will have an interest in teaching medical students and radiology residents. Responsibilities include clinical service and teaching, with opportunities for clinical research in a busy tertiary and quaternary care center with ACGME-accredited residency programs. Academic time is provided, and new research projects are encouraged.

The main campus department is equipped with:

• 2 3D Hologic systems
• 2 Phillips Allura Xper FD20 IR rooms
• Digital C-arm
• Three CT scanners (256 and 128)
• Three MRI scanners (3T and 1.5T)
• Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and routine X-ray equipment

We also have a freestanding outpatient imaging center with:

• 2 MRI scanners
• 1 CT scanner
• 3D Hologic system
• DEXA, US, and routine X-ray equipment

MCG is one of the largest medical schools in the USA, ranking in the top ten public medical schools in basic science grant revenue per faculty member. MCG and its teaching hospitals provide postgraduate education to nearly 500 residents in 44 programs. Augusta University is a public research university and part of the University System of Georgia, with satellite campuses in Savannah, Albany, Rome, and Athens (note: no responsibilities at these sites).
