Texas A&M University’s Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Assistant Professor position with a focus on agricultural and rural community leadership. The role emphasizes building a vigorous, externally funded research program and delivering high-quality teaching in ALEC graduate and undergraduate programs.

The successful candidate will mentor M.S. and Ph.D.

Formación

• Earned PhD in a related social science discipline by start date.
• Evidence of scholarly focus in leadership development within agricultural or rural contexts.
• Potential to develop an externally funded research program.
• Record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Evidence of effective teaching or teaching potential.
• Commitment to mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with statistical analysis using R.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and lead a vigorous externally funded research program at the intersection of agriculture and rural leadership development.
• Teach undergraduate courses in ALED and related graduate courses in ALEC.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in ALEC.
• Contribute curriculum development to responsive leadership offerings.
• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across ALEC and CALS.
