Utah State University’s Department of Social Work invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will advance research and teaching in access-to-justice, community justice advocate/worker programs, and related certification efforts within the Transforming Communities Institute.

The role emphasizes quantitative analysis, mentorship of students, and collaboration across legal, academic, and community settings.

Competenze

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
• Evidence of community-engaged research agenda related to access to justice.
• Experience mentoring law students or professionals.
• Preferred PhD in law or social work; 3+ years civil legal services experience.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain a community-engaged research agenda related to access-to-justice issues and more specifically, community justice work connected to TCI.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research.
• Secure external funding to support research activities.
