The School of Computing and Information Science at the University of Maine seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2025.
Our primary research target focus is the broad area of spatial computing, including spatial statistics, GIScience, spatial data science, and spatial AI, but we will consider qualified candidates in all areas in the spatial domain.

The School of Computing and Information Science is home to undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Human-Centered Technology Design, and New Media, and nine graduate programs, including two Ph.D. programs and several online MS and Certificate programs. SCIS currently has 18 full-time faculty members and enrolls approximately 360 undergraduate and 150 graduate students. The School is a member of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering and Computing.
