Faculty Positions in Microbiology and Immunology – Vector-borne diseases

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of South Alabama, Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine is recruiting individuals who are dedicated to excellence in research, teaching, and training the next generation of biomedical research scientists. We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor. We seek individuals with active research in vector-borne diseases, with a preference for virology and/or host-vector-pathogen interactions. Applicants whose research complements the Department's programs focused on host defense and infectious diseases are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent degree with a strong record of research productivity. The position is supported by a competitive start-up package with excellent laboratory and core facilities including state-of-the art ABSL-2/3 and ACL-2/3.
