We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall wellbeing of our community.

Responsibilities

The Department of Internal Medicine at the Frederick P. This provider will support initiatives to expand services to patients and collaboratively support the programmes and activities conducted by the USA ID division.

Applicants with credentials to support the rank of assistant to full professor will be considered. The Division of Infectious Disease focuses on adult care and is involved in population and public health, supporting several local Federally Qualified Health Centers. Our current practice is comprised of five ID physicians and two advanced practice providers, and the ID division operates a Ryan White HIV program. This program has growth opportunities for individuals who seek to further build on the clinical, public health, training and research successes of the division. The ID division provides infection control services and consultative care for inpatients at USA Health University Hospital, USA Health Children's and Women's Hospital with the potential to expand services locally. The division is deeply committed to excellence in teaching and training of students, residents and other healthcare providers, and aspires to begin an Infectious Disease fellowship as part of the strategic goals to further expand access to ID care on the Gulf Coast.

We seek applicants with an understanding of the medical, educational, clinical, and administrative issues for Internal Medicine residents and 1st–4th year medical students at a small medical school. Providers will assist with inpatient ID care management (both independently and with residents) and outpatient clinical activity.
