The Department of Mathematics & Statistics in the College of Science seeks a dynamic colleague committed to fostering teaching excellence and student development in a program that values creativity, collaboration, learner-centered pedagogy, and a sense of belonging. The new faculty member will join a collaborative group of 26 mathematics, statistics, and data science faculty who serve the entire university community.
We seek applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track Assistant Professional Professor position to begin Spring 2027. Although this is a non-tenure track position, progression in rank to professional associate and professional senior professor position is possible. We are particularly interested in a colleague who has preparation and experience in teaching both lower-level and upper-level undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses.
The standard teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester (typically five 3-credit courses), for a total of 30 credit hours over the 9-month academic year, plus related service activities. This is a teaching-focused appointment; research is not required.
