Job summary

CREATIVE WERKS LLC is seeking an Assistant Supervisor to lead and coordinate all tasks on the production line(s) in a food manufacturing setting. You will verify raw materials, perform line inventories, and document employees on the line. Daily handover communication and safety adherence are essential.

You will train staff, monitor line performance to quality standards, and enforce GMP/SQF rules. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work with ERP

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate tasks to run production line(s).
• Verify all raw materials at production lines for accuracy and condition.
• Perform material inventory at the production line.
• Document head count of employees at the line.
• Request materials for following shift at least 2 hours in advance.
• Attend daily shift DDS/Handover meetings and relay information.
• Notify supervisor of safety, materials, equipment or people issues.
• Maintain line cleanliness and ensure employee safety.
• Maintain assigned reports and accurate paperwork.
• Monitor line performance to meet standards and quality; train staff as needed.
• Enforce GMP, SQF and safety rules; participate in meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Assist supervisor in achieving facility goals.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions for QC holds and rework.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Supervisor Will Effectively Lead, Coordinate, and direct all tasks associated with running food manufacturing production line(s). Work is to be consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Verify all raw materials at production line(s) for accuracy and condition. Ensure materials and packaging Includes the verification of quantity, locator tickets and lot codes. Accuracy of information is critical.
• Perform and document material inventory at the production line.
• Perform head count and document all employees at the production line.
• Request materials for following shift, materials need to be requested a minimum of 2 hours in advance
• Must attend daily shift DDS/Handover meetings to communicate relevant information with the incoming shift personnel.
• Notify shift Supervisor immediately when any issues are identified with Safety, Materials, Equipment or People
• Maintains cleanliness of lines at all times
• Ensure employee safety at line, any unsafe conditions need to be reported to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
• Maintain assigned reports. Accuracy of all paperwork is mandatory
• Monitor the performance of the line to meet standards while maintaining quality. Train all employees on tasks as needed.
• Enforce company rules regarding safety, GMP, SQF, discipline, cooperation and teamwork.
• Attend selected meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Assisting Supervisor with maintaining facility goals
• Work with Supervisor to identify root cause and corrective actions in regard to QC holds and rework.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Average math skills and proven ability to perform tasks
• Ability to read and interpret company documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
• Ability to learn and use ERP system.

Food Safety Responsibilities:

• Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)
• Participate in company GMP walks
• Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring

Working Conditions:

• Office setting and warehouse/production environment with temperature range of 55-80 degrees

Physical Requirements:

• Operate standard office equipment!
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Lift up to 25 pounds
• Able to operate industrial equipment and company specific equipment
• Associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
• Required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
