Job summary

Magna Body & Chassis Iowa is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to plan, organize and control production to ensure parts are produced efficiently, on time and within budget. The role includes training and facilitating process improvements to achieve World Class Manufacturing.

The candidate will oversee production, support safety, and coordinate with QA, maintenance and logistics while maintaining quality and schedule adherence. Three shifts and strict operational standards apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a production setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports and instructions.
• Flexibility to work across three shifts and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control production to meet on-time, within-budget standards.
• Provide training and drive process improvements for world class manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions for production operations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics and Management.
• Monitor scrap costs and drive reductions; ensure timely rework and quarantine.
