Job summary

Wilbert Precast, Inc. in Spokane, WA is seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Production Manager/Floor Manager to lead our production team, drive operational excellence, and support safe, efficient manufacturing of precast concrete products.

You will oversee daily floor activities, coordinate resources, and mentor frontline staff on quality and safety. The role reports to the Production Manager and emphasizes teamwork, process improvement, and meeting production schedules in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, precast concrete, or related industrial environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing production demands.
• Working knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and production reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production floor activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely manufacturing of precast concrete products.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and resources to meet production schedules and customer demands.
• Monitor workflow, production output, and plant performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain productivity.
• Support the Production Manager in planning and executing production schedules.
• Assist with troubleshooting operational challenges and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead, coach, and motivate production employees to achieve performance, quality, and safety objectives.
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure effective communication and accountability.
• Assist with employee onboarding, training, performance management, and development initiatives.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Ensure products meet Wilbert Precast quality standards and applicable industry specifications.
• Support quality control inspections and corrective action processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
