UniFirst is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced facility. You will drive training, uphold safety standards, and push continuous improvement while reporting to the Production Manager.

The role requires strong leadership, cost awareness, and the ability to collaborate across departments. A Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in production management, plus Lean Six Sigma knowledge, will help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience with strong team-building and interpersonal relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of production management experience, with leadership, process improvement skills, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives with the Production Manager to optimize operations.
• Meet production targets while maintaining quality and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Coach and motivate team members to foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performing environment.
• Support safety compliance through regular inspections and training initiatives.
• Oversee production scheduling, inventory, and equipment maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
• Collaborate across departments to align production goals with business objectives.
