Job summary

UniFirst is seeking an Assistant Production Manager in Oklahoma to lead team training, uphold facility standards, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will guide a dynamic team and foster collaboration with a strong enterprise mindset.

You will optimize processes, meet production targets, manage safety, and oversee inventory and vendor relationships while supporting schedules and cross‑department collaboration for long‑term

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age and valid driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of leadership experience with team-building skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: lift, carry, stand, walk.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%).
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in production management with leadership and process improvement.
• Financial literacy to analyze costs and drive decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and Lean Six Sigma methods.
• Commitment to safety and compliance; bilingual EN/ES preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimize processes by partnering with the Production Manager on continuous improvement.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining quality and reducing costs.
• Support and inspire team members to foster collaboration and accountability.
• Foster a service-oriented culture delivering value to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety compliance through regular inspections and training.
• Oversee wastewater processes to maximize efficiency and minimize impact.
• Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist development and implementation of production schedules and improvements.
• Collaborate across Service, Sales, Maintenance, and Office to align goals.
• Exhibit strategic agility to adapt to change and drive long-term success.
• Support hiring, onboarding, retention, and offboarding with the Production Manager.
