Job summary

PACCAR Technical Center in Renton, WA seeks a Production Manager-focused professional to drive safety, quality, productivity and supply chain improvements. You will lead and train teams, identify defects, and coordinate lean initiatives to sustain gains.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of manufacturing experience; Six Sigma knowledge is a plus. Strong communication and leadership are essential for this role.

• Investigate, propose, and implement improvements to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Supply Chain
• Develop standard work instructions, desk procedures, and training to sustain improvements
• Support PACCAR Production System with lean leadership, 5S, Kaizen events and process audits
• Effectively support other functions as directed by the Production Manager
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift

Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for process improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Production, and Material activities at the plant. This individual drives the identification and elimination of defects in the plant and field by making sustainable improvements through data mining and coordination of activities.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Assist Production Manager in planning production activities and serving as a first line manager to Production Leads.

• Ensure improvements are successfully implemented and sustained through development of standard work instructions, desk procedures, and training.
• Support the PACCAR Production System by participating in lean leadership, 5S, Kaizen events and process audits.
• Effectively support other functions as directed by the Production Manager.
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant experience required, experience in Manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and methodologies, training and experience in use of Six Sigma tools a plus.
• Strong communication, customer service, documentation, organization and analytical skills.
• Ability to train others on improvement concepts.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and get results.
• Proficient in using MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated understanding of production systems.
• Must be a team player and able to multi-task.

The salary range for this position is $80,800 - $111,200 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
