Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of company and contract pumpers and service personnel.
  • Trouble shooting of compressors, pumping equipment, and battery equipment.
  • Trouble shooting of flowing wells, artificial lift wells (gas lift, plunger, pumping units, ESPs), and SWD wells.
  • Optimize well and facility performance in coordination with engineering and production team.
  • Attend and give input during battery and pipeline construction/PSSRs with construction team.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members, and attend daily operations call each morning (M-F).
  • Preparation of daily reports via computer, as appropriate.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout field operations.
  • Conduct and participate in JSA/JHA meetings and field safety observations.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and New Mexico regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to spills, releases, equipment failures, and other field emergencies.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and environmental compliance across assigned assets.

  • Prior experience in foreman role or in workover ops a plus
  • Computer savvy
  • Must be able to work both in team settings as well as independently and be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work extended hours and respond to field emergencies.

Preferred

  • Previous Lead Operator, Senior Production Operator, or Assistant Foreman experience.
  • Experience with gas lift and/or ESP artificial lift.
  • Experience with SCADA and remote monitoring systems.
  • Experience with well testing and production allocation.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and service companies.
  • Working knowledge of production chemistry and corrosion/scale control.
