Job description

Your Opportunity as the Assistant Production Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Design Manager to join our in-house agency, Seed Creative. This role involves leading production for diverse advertising projects, managing a Production Designer, and ensuring high-quality outputs across our brand portfolio, which includes frozen foods, spreads, coffee, baked snacks, and pet food.

The role requires overseeing digital and print creative executions, with a focus on digital media such as ads, eCommerce, social media, websites, signage, and collateral. Knowledge of motion design is preferred due to the inclusion of motion in many projects.

Location: Orrville, OH - Corporate Offices

Work Arrangements: Hybrid, with approximately 6 days per month onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaboration among project teams and external partners
  • Manage and mentor a Production Designer, providing training as needed
  • Review projects at input and final stages for quality and accuracy
  • Establish standards and create guidelines for production-ready artwork
  • Troubleshoot issues and guide team members
  • Conduct training to fill knowledge gaps
  • Organize and maintain file libraries in collaboration with the Asset Manager
  • Maintain and adapt retailer media templates
  • Create new templates to improve efficiency
  • Apply style guides and understand dielines for 3D structures
  • Prepare and package final files for media release
  • Stay updated on production techniques and software
  • Explore AI advancements to improve workflows
  • Provide image retouching and manipulation as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Graphic Design or related field
  • 8+ years of production experience
  • 3+ years in production management
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign on Mac
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating production expertise
  • Understanding of digital and offset printing and color profiles
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
  • Self-motivated with multitasking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong project management skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Animation and After Effects proficiency
  • Agency experience
  • Knowledge of CPG food, beverage, and pet brands
  • Retouching expertise
  • Familiarity with AI tools in Adobe suite
