Job summary

Naturipe Farms is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to oversee daily operations for conventional and organic berries, including inventory control, short-term pack planning, and monitoring product availability within a ten-day window.

You will be the department’s first responder for daily events, escalating deviations to the Product Manager and supporting sales execution and performance tracking, with weekend rotation involvement.

Qualifications

Associate degree minimum; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of agriculture business, produce sales, order fulfillment, or production management preferred.
Intermediate or greater Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required; SAP experience a plus.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication; professional phone and video-call presence.
Self-starter who works independently and thrives in a cooperative team environment.
Willing to travel up to 30 days per year; valid driver’s license required.
Available on call for evenings and weekend rotation.
Strong analytical aptitude; ability to build analysis in Excel for production planning and grower returns preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute daily short-term sales and operations activity for berries within the pack plan.
Review inventories, product rotation, and carryover daily; flag aging and rotation risks.
Act as first contact for product claims with sales and Partner Operations.
Balance sales boards, report discrepancies, and resolve routine issues.
Coordinate re-packing and re-grading to add value to returns.
Update and distribute the Daily Pack Plan to growing areas and facilities.
Ensure daily orders meet departure cutoffs; flag at-risk loads.
Perform fruit transfers as planned and propose adjustments as needed.
Participate in weekend coverage rotation and develop product knowledge.
