Job summary

Spirit Halloween is seeking an Assistant Product Manager in New Jersey to support the Product Manager across the product development lifecycle, from conception to market. You will coordinate samples, cost analyses, and communication with internal and external partners to keep projects on track.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1–3 years of related experience and a strong foundation in retail math, MS Office, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 1–3 years related experience or internship preferred.
• Foundational understanding of retail mathematics.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook and Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with analytical and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with initiative and ownership over projects.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to oversee the product development cycle at every stage.
• Support vendor relations to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness and efficiency, with clear communication.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to maintain momentum within the product lifecycle.
• Manage cataloging of incoming samples and coordinate review processes; organize weekly cross-functional meetings.
• Input and manage data within the PLM system.
• Coordinate with licensing to meet deadlines and approvals for licensed merchandise.
• Assist in analyzing in-season sales data and share insights for product optimization.
• Participate in market trend research and competitive shopping to enhance knowledge.
• Assist in preparing presentations for senior management with samples and cost evaluations.
